Toronto Wedding Photography - Julie and Stephen's Grand Wedding - Arcadian Court - Toronto, On

Julie and Stephen are as close as you can get to a perfect match and we could see this from the first moment we met with them, to their engagement session we photographed last summer and finally through working with the both of them on their wedding day a couple of weekends ago at the stunning Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto. We were really looking forward to photographing their big day knowing how easy Julie and Stephen are to work with and just how passionate they are about creating great images that capture the essence of their relationship. Also, being at a central venue in the heart of downtown Toronto allowed us to use many different backdrops and locations. We first arrived to catch Julie finishing up her hair and make up before putting on her wedding dress for the last time. We also split up to find Stephen anxiously waiting to see his bride for the first time in her dress and had some fun being creative with him at the main floor of the Arcadian Court. Julie then made her way down the staircase and into Stephen's arms where we spent around an hour with them moving throughout the venue, outside around old city hall and finally across the street to Nathan Phillips Square where I wanted to include the main city hall building and repeating patterns of the arches over the soon-to-be-laid ice rink. We took advantage of the reflections off the small pools of water and then made one last stop at old city hall to include some of its fascinating architecture.

We then headed back to the venue for family pictures followed by a beautiful ceremony overlooking the streets and lights of the city. I was lucky enough to follow Julie and Stephen after they exchanged vows and danced back down the aisle to the elevator just before the doors closed. It was a fun and rare shot to get because it really does encompass just how happy they are together and the joy the emanated from the both of them. It is probably my favorite picture from the night for this reason.

Aside from the laughter, music, and amazing atmosphere of the night, we were truly honored to be with Julie and Stephen along with his grandfather who seems to defy time. In all the years photographing weddings, we have never seen a 98 year old man look so happy, energetic and proud of his family. It was also touching to see both of Julie's grandmothers present and fully celebrating the night and enjoying all the special and touching moments with her and Stephen. Having three grandparents present at a wedding made this an extra special night and is not something that we get to see all the time.

We absolutely enjoyed every minute working with Juie and Stephen and can only image the incredible experiences and joys that will fill the rest of their lives together. We wish them all the best and hope to keep in touch with such an awesome couple. Congratulations!

Toronto Wedding Photography - Anna and John's Classic Wedding - Estates of Sunnybrook - Toronto, Ontario

Anna and John are such a great couple to be around and we were looking forward to their fall wedding at the Estates of Sunnybrook for quite a while. The venue is very classy but fun and has lots of layers to it that we were going to capture. But, first off, we needed to arrive early in the day to meet Anna and her bridesmaids getting ready at their hotel downtown. Lots of laughs and jokes with many small intimate moments made this a great way for us to start the day and to be around all the excitement and energy. We then had to head to the church where we spent some time taking pictures of John and his family before Anna arrived. Soon enough, the doors of the limo opened and Anna and the ladies quickly made their way up the stairs to the top of the aisle before Anna and John finally exchanged vows and welcomed their first kiss as husband and wife.On the way to the venue, Anna and John were adamant about stopping at Starbucks. I had no idea how serious they both were about their Starbucks and how much of a role it's played in their relationship. So, of course, we used this opportunity to have some fun inside and outside of the cafe capturing Anna and John enjoying every moment of their day before finally making our way to the venue. The night was full of singing, dancing and, of course the usual, giant dragons with flashing lights dancing to live drumming. It was so nice for us to meet all the families that joined Anna and John from all over the world and to be a part of a truly wonderful day. All the best to you guys!

Toronto Wedding Photography - Carolyn and Michael's Fall Wedding at the Beth Emeth Synagogue - Toronto, Ontario

A few weekends ago, we had the pleasure of photographing Carolyn and Michael's wedding at the popular Beth Emeth Synagogue in Toronto on a glorious fall day. We had just photographed the their engagement session the following weekend in the beaches so we were able to easily continue this vibe we started and begin the day right where we left off - laughing and enjoying the moments. We arrived to spend some time with Carolyn and her bridesmaids and, after working with the families to take group pictures, we managed to sneak in about 5 more minutes of having Carolyn to ourselves for some pictures of just the bride. We immediately headed outside to catch the last remaining rays of the long, orange glow of the sun in a neighbour's backyard before rushing inside to start the ceremony and begin a night of drinking, dancing and lots of surprises. We all had a blast at the wedding and absolutely loved the hilarious guests that kept us laughing all night. All the best to you guys and have a wonderful honeymoon!Gary, Sheena + Vivek
