We were not at all surprised to see Lindsay and Benj so relaxed and calm when we met them on their wedding day at the swanky Design Exchange in downtown Toronto a few weeks back. That is because we had worked with the couple for their engagement session in the fall and really got to learn about them. We could quickly see that this was a couple big on fun, being themselves and living for each moment. So, that's how Sheena and I approached the day when we met Lindsay upstairs in the bridal suite of the Design Exchange where her and her bridesmaids were enjoying some laughs and pampering. We love all the leading lines and contrast that is a defining theme of the venue so we tried to include these as much as possible either when taking pictures of Lindsay and the girls or setting up the rings/dress shots. We then met Benj downstairs in the PATH that connects most of the downtown core before he and Lindsay had their 'first look' moment which led nicely into our time photographing the beautiful bride and groom. Being so casual and easygoing, we strolled around the PATH with Lindsay and Benj before heading outside where it was slightly chilly, but definitely not too cold for some great urban photos while walking down King and Yonge Streets. We arrived back and prepared for the ceremony that was set up in one of the main art exhibits at the Design Exchange and made for an extremely creative and unique place to exchange vows. Before we knew it, food was being served, guests were dancing and toasts were made to celebrate such a happy occasion. We had such a wonderful time working with Lindsay and Benj and wish them all the best to come!
