Even though Toronto is just next door to Burlington, we had never taken the time to visit or walk through the downtown centre to see all the amazing things it has to offer. It was the perfect place to meet Ashley and Kirk to celebrate their wedding day at the Burlington Golf and C0untry Club, however, before the I-Do's, we started off the day in downtown Burlington to wonder around with the entire wedding party while jumping on and off the private limo bus. Sheena and I loved seeing new places for the first time and trying to incorporate the essence of Ashley and Kirk's relationship into each image. We first stopped at City Hall for the larger group pictures as we needed a funky sheltered space with a bit of colour due to some rain and then we strolled across the street to a local bake shop where all the staff welcomed us with open arms. They didn't mind at all as we took over the shop for some pictures, cupcakes and, of course, an arm wrestling match. We then found many other unique backdrops while walking around before we needed to head up to the venue for the main event. The Burlington Golf and Country Club was a remarkable venue and could use so many elements into other pictures we would be taking during the night. The one thing that stood out the most for us was seeing just how happy and fun Ashley and Kirk were and how it was reflected in all their guests, hilarious speeches, silly games that the bride and groom had no problem playing in front of everybody, and some passionate personal swooning on the dance floor. It was so nice to spend most of the day with the entire wedding party and hear some of the stories about the bride and groom over the years and to see the close bonds between all the friends and how important it was that they were together to celebrate with Ashley and Kirk. Thanks for having us share your special day and we can't wait to show you all the pictures!
