Eryn and Joe's wedding at the stunning Toronto Hunt Club in the east end of the city was the perfect way to start off a new life together. It was also a last minute surprise venue that seemed to fall into place after their original venue on the Toronto islands was closed due to flooding. Even though Eryn and Joe had their hearts set on getting married on the islands, they both kept an open mind and were definitely rewarded with one of the classiest and scenic venues we've worked at in the city. On top of having to deal with a change of venue, both Joe and Eryn had recently moved back from the U.K with their son to start a new chapter in their lives and many of the guests were visiting and meeting new family members for the first time.
After meeting Joe at the Kind Edward Hotel to snap some pictures of him getting ready and enjoying the quiet of the morning, we headed to east to the Hunt Club where we spent some time with the bride in her suite prior to the first look where we had Joe eagerly waiting in the reading lounge. Although the day started off a bit dull and dreary, we were lucky to see the skies open up so we had about an hour to explore the grounds and the vistas overlooking Lake Ontario which served as incredible backgrounds for our bride/groom pictures. Of course, before we were finished, we were met by Eryn and Joe's excited son, Rowan, who was thrilled to be in many more pictures with mom and dad.
After sealing the deal with a kiss following the intimate ceremony, all the guests were welcomed to the venue by a formal sabrage (which we learned is when you open a bottle of champgne with a sabre) from atop the balcony before sharing a drink and toasting the newlyweds. We were also greeted by a few roaming deer who seemed very interested in all the excitement, as well as a fantastic sunset that washed the sky with hues of purple, red, and blue. It even pulled all the guests out of dinner and speeches as everybody wanted a picture with this fleeing surreal backdrop.
We couldn't stop smiling as we left the venue while DJ Mike Rock from Floh Back Productions was tearing up the dance floor because the entire day and night seemed to work out so perfectly and we knew that it was just fitting for Eryn and Joe as they begin their lives together. We wish you all the best and were so glad to be a part of such a special event in your lives.
