Toronto Wedding Photography - Rose and George are Married - Cafe Belong, Evergreen Brickworks - Toronto

The first thing I instantly noticed when I met Rose and George the first time was their amazing connection to one another. They laughed at each other's jokes, complimented each other's ideas and they both had the exact same vision for their wedding pictures - to capture the essence of their relationship and of the day. So, needless to say, we were both really excited to photograph Rose and George's big day because we knew that, as long as we could place them together, all we would have to do is press the shutter and we were guaranteed to create a great image. We started out the morning at Rose and George's newly built home in East York where we joined the action of the ladies getting ready, Rose's family and friends helping to finish final touches and Rose putting on her wedding dress for the last time. We were welcomed into the house with open arms and felt right at home capturing all the excitement while trying to pull out all the funky architectural elements from their new house. We then met up with George at the church to grab a couple of fun images of him enjoying his time anxiously waiting for his bride to arrive in the limo.

Following the ceremony, we spent about an hour working with the bride and groom alone as we wandering the Brickworks and incorporated many of the features that make this such a special spot. We were even graced by the famous Canadian Snow Birds as they flew over during the airshow that was taking place on this long weekend. Following some family pictures, it was time for the night to begin at the fabulous Cafe Belong in the Brickworks where the staff went above and beyond to provide all the guests with amazing service, food and hospitality.

This was definitely a very special wedding for us to have been a part of and we can't help but smile every time we look through Rose and George's images. Thanks for having us and we wish you both all the best as you start your new lives together!

Toronto Wedding Photography - Carolyn and Eugene's Intimate Affair - Lula Lounge - Toronto, Ontario

Last weekend, we had the wonderful opportunity to photography Carolyn and Eugene's intimate backyard wedding followed by a fun-filled evening of eating and salsa dancing at the historic Lula Lounge in Toronto, Ontario. Although Carolyn and Eugene have been together for eighteen years, they finally decided to tie the knot while surrounded by a small group of their closest family and friends on the beautiful Saturday afternoon. After celebrating with lots of toasts and appetizers following the ceremony, we headed off to Lula Lounge which holds an incredibly personal connection to the newlyweds. We made sure to try to incorporate as many elements of the venue as we could while photographing the reception and all the guests. After dinner, Carolyn and Eugene headed to the dance floor to perform a spicy dance routine as all the guests looked on in amazement. It was such a fitting part of the night and perfectly set up the guests for a long night of dancing, drinking and celebrating. We truly did have wonderful time working with Carolyn and Eugene and wish them only the best as they continue their journey together as husband and wife!Gary + Sheena

Toronto Wedding Photography - Emily and Mike's Intimate Wedding - York Club - Toronto, Ontario

What would you do if your wedding day was fast approaching, all the pieces were in place... until you found out that the venue for your ceremony was abruptly closed due to a flood? Emily and Mike responded by quickly finding an even better venue for their ceremony and took it all in stride. This set the tone for their beautiful wedding day that all came together perfectly and reminds us all that everything really does happen for a reason. Emily and Mike were lucky to find the York Club in downtown Toronto as their alternative location to be married in and it was stunning. We spent the first part of the day taking pictures of Emily and her bridesmaids getting ready at her west end home. We then traveled to the swanky York Club to meet up with Mike and his groomsmen and then had our time with the soon-to-be newlyweds. This was followed by an intimate ceremony on the regal staircase of the club before heading out to the party back in the west end at a massive industrial loft space used by Mike's business. We had a hard time envisioning this space, but once we arrived, we were in awe of how the right decor, lighting and table settings can really transform a venue into something spectacular. Add in all the guests and a glowing bride and groom and you get one special night to remember. In between the laughter, tears, dancing and reflection, we had so many chances to capture Emily and Mike together, taking in their wedding day and each other while enjoying this special time. It's so nice to see couples on their wedding day take the time to be with each other and not get too caught up in some of the drama that may present itself.

Like always, we tend to leave during the height of the party and dancing, but we are certain the festivities lasted well into the early morning and we can't wait to hear all about it. We are so happy for Emily and Mike and can't imagine a more perfect match.
