This past Sunday, we visited Renee, Jesse and their two sons, Sam and Aiden at their home in Toronto. It was such a beautiful day and we couldn't have asked for nicer weather for a family photo session. We first met Renee and Jesse when we took their pictures with Sam when he was just a "little" boy. We then visited them again after their new addition, Aiden, joined their lives. So, this time around, Sheena and I had a nice connection with the family and were thrilled to see just how big the boys have grown. It is really an honor for us to be asked by parents to return to take more pictures of their family as they grow and change and we really appreciate the opportunity. We set up our studio inside and, having been to the house before, we knew exactly where we needed to go and place our gear. After taking pictures of everybody in front of our backdrop, we moved around the house to end up in mom and dad's bed where everybody had fun throwing pillows and hiding in the blankets. Who would have thought that, in the eyes of a toddler, a bed can become the ultimate playground!
We spent more time than usual in the bedroom since the boys were having so much fun. Then, just as we thought that Aiden and Sam might be sick of us, we were invited to take some pictures of the boys on their new bikes and in their wagon outside. It was such a fun time for us to see the family again and to be able to run around and play with the boys. Sheena and I can't wait until our daughter, Evi, is big enough to make a playground in our bed since we learned some cool new techniques from Aiden and Sam. All the best to the Kaufmans and we look forward to watching the family grow and laugh in the future!
