Well, we won't even begin to discuss how oddly fantastic the weather has been in Toronto this year. It has also been great for couples having weddings and engagement sessions booked with us! Living in New Jersey, Nicole and Mark didn't have the luxury of picking their engagement session close to the date so all of us had February 20, 2012 circled in our calendars as our chosen date - regardless of the weather. Low and behold, beyond my wildest imagination, we were given a beautiful day with warm temperatures - perfect for our "winter"photo session. We had the Brick Works booked as the spot so it was just a matter of meeting up and having some fun and that's just what we did. Sheena and I warmed up with some easy poses of Nicole and Mark and then made our way throughout the venue, using all the amazing elements the Brick Works has to offer. The kiln section was almost too good to be true and gave us so many opportunities to create memorable pictures that reflect the connection between Nicole and Mark. We brought along a couple of flashes so that we could add light to specific areas where we felt it needed. After that, we all continued to wander around taking more pictures when we decided to hike up the hill where there would be a stunning view of the downtown skyline. It was well worth it and, even though it was incredibly muddy and bright, we managed to adjust and capture Nicole and Mark with the downtown silhouette in the background.
It was such a fun day for Sheena and I to spend time with Nicole and Mark and really get to learn about their personalities and capture the love between them before we see them in April for the big day! We can't wait.
