Well, Sheena and I decided to take a small vacation and head off to Quebec City. I was a bit embarrassed to tell people that I had never been there before only to find out that most of my friends had also never been there! It took us about 8 hours driving from Toronto. The sightseeing on the way was... bland, unless you get excitement out of seeing restaurant/gas station stops every 45 minutes. Once we moved on through Montreal, we actually noticed a change in landscape and saw some of the mountains in Quebec. As for Quebec City, it is stunning and there is a reason why it is recognized as a world heritage site by the UN. We stayed it the Chateau Frontenac and overlooked the St. Lawrence River. Weather was amazing and we ate a lot of good food and I drank a lot of amazing Quebec beer. We also took a trip out the famous Ice Hotel! Crazy idea that makes no sense at all, but I am happy that somebody agreed to build the thing because it unbelievable. Everything from the ice shot glasses, to the ice chandelier to the ice seats, the ice bar, the ice slide, ice church, ice bible, ice beds and ice toilet! Just kidding, they wouldn't be that mean. Anyways, we also took the time to snap some pics. Definitely worth visiting if you get the chance.
