We couldn't wait to look through all the images we captured at Natasha and Ryan's summer wedding at the always popular Westin Prince Hotel in midtown Toronto. Having spent time with this amazing couple a few weeks prior for their engagement session and getting to know a lot more about their super fun personalities, Sheena and I were so excited to be a part of their big day. We met Natasha at in her suite as she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and mom. We had the fortune of working with some brilliant morning sun rays streaming through the windows which really reflected the joyous mood of Natasha and her family. Meanwhile, Ryan was almost dressed in his room and I made it down to spend some time with the groom and his parents as everybody was getting ready to meet outside for the bride and groom's first look on this glorious day. We love photographing weddings at the Westin Prince because, in addition to having a very modern and sleek interior, it is surrounded by wooded areas with lots of access to paths and trails. Natasha was quite clear about wanting to spend our time outdoors as much as possible so it was fitting that the soon-to-be newlyweds would meet in the courtyard with all their close friends and family watching from afar.
We had roughly an hour to walk around the venue with the bride and groom so we used lots of the greenery available as well as intimate corners and artistic elements around the front of the hotel like the funky tiled ceiling at the main entrance. After our brief time working with the Natasha and Ryan it was time for pictures with friends and family and, not too soon after, the part of the day everybody came to see - the ceremony and first kiss to celebrate a brand new marriage and life together.
I can still remember the looks on Natasha and Ryan's faces as they ran back down the aisle as husband and wife in front of all their important guests. It was pure bliss and it set the perfect tone for a night of dancing, drinking and celebration. The entire day and night went off without a hitch and we couldn't have asked to work with a more fun and enjoyable couple. Natasha and Ryan, we wish you all the best in life and we are honoured that you trusted us to document one of the most important days in your lives. Happy honeymoon!
