Last weekend, we joined Ian and his family at the historical Faculty Club at the University of Toronto to celebrate Ian's Bar Mitzvah. We couldn't have asked for better weather to celebrate the evening and were so glad that we were able to get outside after a cold and long winter. I started the evening working with Ian to capture him enjoying the moment and he also brought along some personal items that were important to him, like his soccer ball and beloved Rubics Cube. Since the venue is on the University of Toronto grounds, we had so much to work with including some cool architecture, entrance ways, walls, and old wooden doors. While the sun can be difficult to photograph with at times, for Ian's Bar Mitzvah, we used it to our advantage as it was low in the sky and incorporated lots of shadows and flare to bring some warmth and spring into the images. After Ian's Bar Mitzvah was complete, it was time to party and what better way to do this than by starting with the hora! Thanks so much for having us be a part of your special day!
